Microscopic ultrasonic vibrations of the tool (blade) with 22,000
vibrations per second and an amplitude of 30-70 micron drastically

electric energy generated by the oscillator is converted into
mechanical vibrations of the same frequency, which convey ultrasonic
vibrations to the tool (blade) in a longitudinal direction. |
